SHORE has been founded to give static home owners a club of their own. A growing owners’ circle bringing together exclusive member benefits, useful tips and inspiration, local services that make static ownership easier, and more ways to get the most from owning a holiday home on the Lincolnshire coast.
The making of SHORE
SHORE has been created from a genuine love of static holiday home life, and a passion to build a community for owners.

I'm Carole, founder of SHORE and my husband Karl has been around static caravans all his life. His family has a small caravan park here in Lincolnshire, so for him, caravans, holiday parks and the people who own them have always simply been part of life.
​
For me? I came to it very differently. I'm a northern girl, originally from the Lake District, from an agricultural background, where holidays usually meant escaping somewhere abroad for some winter sun when the work, and the weather, allowed.

So here's the back story! I experienced city, and student, life in Manchester whilst studying at university... I met Karl, moved to Lincolnshire, we got married and had two sassy daughters.
I naturally experienced the static caravan world on the East Coast and was fascinated by it. I had never really experienced the Great British holiday. Even though I grew up in one of England's beauty-spots, it was often much cooler, and wetter, in the Lake District and being from an agricultural background, when the sun shined, we made hay... literally!

My first few visits to Lincolnshire I couldn't believe how much warmer the summers seemed. I was a northerner who felt like I was getting off the plane in the Canaries when getting off the train in Skegness!

Spending more time in Lincolnshire, setting up a family home and sitting in the Ingoldmells sunshine whilst Karl worked the season, I fell in love with the idea that so many people had their own getaway by the coast. Somewhere familiar to escape to, make their own, get to know their neighbours and create years of family memories.

The Static Caravan Club
Eventually, I convinced Karl that we should have a static caravan of our own, and in doing so what I've come to love just as much is the community of owners who are like a village of friends.
​
So, I started to think back to the early 2000s, before we had our girls, when Karl and I often talked about the static caravan community with real affection. We knew how established and well-loved the touring caravan and motorhome clubs were, and we always felt static holiday home owners deserved something of their own too. So we started to work on 'the Static Caravan Club'.
​
We knew exactly what we wanted it to feel like... community, family, good vibes and a real sense of belonging. But at the time, despite investing in matching blue T-shirts (cue cringe picture!) and starting to share the new club plans with local parks and owners, we only really scratched the surface - work and life were simply too busy to give it the attention it needed.
Sometimes the vision feels right, but the timing isn’t.

What SHORE is all about
More than 20 years later, after a career in marketing and communications, I decided the time had finally come to build the club I’d always wanted to see for static holiday home owners.

SHORE is for those of us who know that feeling the moment you arrive at your happy place. The doors open, the bags get unpacked, the kettle goes on, or the wine gets poured, and everything just feels a little lighter. No chores, no to do list, just switch off.
​
It’s the sunshine on the veranda, the neighbours you wave to every weekend, the sea air, the little routines and the family memories... often stretching right back to childhood caravan holidays, that make static home life mean so much.
​
And here on the Lincolnshire coast, we’re spoilt for choice. So many brilliant caravan parks. Great local businesses. Places to eat, visit, shop and enjoy. Traditional British holiday fun. Trusted caravan-related services. And thousands of owners who all understand exactly why having that place to escape to matters.
